The staff is very professional and friendly, the food is ALWAYS cooked to order. The atmosphere in there is always warm and welcoming. I would, and do recommend Shaw's as the best place to eat.They bring you a tray with fresh cold crisp veggies, and hot rolls when your seated. If you go home hungry after eating there,it's your own fault...

The steak was over cooked. I know the price of food has gone up so instead of keeping the prices and making the cut of meat smaller raise the prose and keep the cut of meat where it should be.

This is a local favorite for steaks. I think it's just as good as the more well-known tourist spots, but less pricey. They do the red oak grilling that is the cornerstone of Santa Maria barbecue. The staff is very friendly and attentive here. It's not a fancy place and I don't recommend it for foodies (or vegetarians), but it's a staple of the meat-and-potatoes demographic that makes to most of the Santa Maria area.
