Online, May 9, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Abstracts for technical papers are being accepted for the upcoming ULTRAPURE WATER Micro 2011 (UPW Micro 2011) conference that will be conducted November 2-3 at the Red Lion Hotel on Jantzen Beach in Portland, Ore. The conference will focus on high-purity water treatment in the semiconductor, flat panel display, and solar industries. ULTRAPURE WATER journal is sponsoring the meeting.
UPW Micro 2011 will feature an opening session on business aspects of the water and microelectronics industries that will be followed by technical papers on key issues related to semiconductor-grade high-purity water treatment. The annual conference began in 1998, and has been conducted in Portland, Austin, and Phoenix over the years.
The emphasis of this conference will be primarily on these high-purity water treatment areas: microelectronics industry-- semiconductors, photovoltaic (solar), and nanotechnology. Here are examples of some topics that will be emphasized: organics, monitoring technology development, system disinfection and microbial control, particle removal, system expansion, materials of construction, water reclaim and reuse, pretreatment, and new technology developments.
