Online, August 26, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Umpqua Bank, known as an early adopter of in-branch digital signage technology, has opened up a new branch in Rocklin, Calif., complete with technology to allow customers to surf the Web, learn about the latest community events via digital signage and even view exhibits by local artists.
The new Umpqua Bank branch store features:
• Discover Wall - A sustainable alternative to racks of brochures, the Discover Wall shares product and service information digitally, through touch-screen computers that enable customers to print and take just what they need. In addition to banking information, the Digital Wall also introduces local artists through animation on 42-inch plasma displays.
• Community E-Bulletin Board - This 32-inch plasma display keeps visitors up-to-date on local events juxtaposed against photos of the local community and its residents. Neighbors are encouraged to upload their own photos to become part of the evolving digital bulletin board.
• Computer Cafe - Umpqua's Computer Cafes allow visitors to explore the Web, network with local businesses at Umpqua's LocalSpace site or bank online.
• Bank to your own Beat - This ever-changing art display projected on an 18-foot backdrop connects dynamic animation to Umpqua's in-store music program. Visitors will never see the same visuals twice.
