June 14, 2014 (Newswire.com) - If you've never heard a true master of public speaking, mark your calendar for June 21, when you can experience the prowess of two World Champions of Public Speaking: Jim Key (2003) and current title holder, Presiyan Vasilev, from our own District Toastmasters Club. Discover why these two Toastmasters earned their prestigious titles, with heartwarming, enlightening, and engaging presentations.
Jim Key combined his background in computer technology, sports, music, leadership, with his personal belief to pursue excellence without reservation or apology to propel himself to an unprecedented three consecutive appearances in the finals of the World Championship of Public Speaking. In 2003 he reached his ultimate goal of winning the championship. His public speaking presentations come from the heart and inspire audiences to reach for higher levels of achievement.
Presiyan Vasilev is a Bulgarian native who immigrated to the Chicago area 12 years ago. He captured the World Champion title last August with a charming, humorous speech about discovering personal strength through a perceived weakness. Presiyan is a member of District 30 Toastmasters International.
Toastmasters Leadership and Communications Expo (LACE) is an opportunity for members and club officers to obtain top tier training and information to guide their success. The event program includes the opportunity to hear from both World Champions & other District 30 speakers. Workshops with both Jim and Presiyan are offered, plus Summer Club Officer Training.
