Dr. Knape's expertise will expand Virginia Eeye Insitute's glaucoma, cataract and implant surgery offerings

Virginia Eye Institute (VEI), one of Virginia's oldest, largest and best-known ophthalmology practices, announced that Robert Knape, M.D., has joined its staff beginning on August 20, 2012.

Dr. Knape specializes in glaucoma, complicated anterior segment disease and cataract and implant surgery. He will see patients at Virginia Eye Institute's Towne Center West office in Short Pump, the Puddledock office in Prince George and the Huguenot Bridge office.

Dr. Knape completed his glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is also a graduate of the University of Virginia where he received both his undergraduate degree and Doctorate of Medicine from the university.
