IIST Indore, within a decade of its inception has gone from strength to strength to be recognised as one of the premier institutes in the state of Madhya Pradesh. In fact, it was ranked No. 1 private engineering college in Indore by the latest EDU-RAND survey. That's a huge achievement for the institute that has managed to reach great heights of academic success in a short span of time. It focuses on creating "leaders of tomorrow and doers of today" by offering students the best learning facilities and an enriching environment that encourages their overall development.

The sprawling 50 acre campus of the institute has been home to over 4000 students who have gone on to find a place for themselves in their chosen field. The state of the art amenities provided to them by IIST have helped their learning experience. Importantly, they have found support and inspiration from their experienced faculty members who have created a solid platform for their future aspirations.

And in a bid to achieve further academic excellence, the institute has bolstered its Leadership team, which can be its guiding light to steer it in the right direction. At the helm of the matters is the Chairman, Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha who has been the Founding Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB), which went on to become one of the top 20 B-schools in the world. The MD and Co-founder of 9.9 Media, Dr. Sinha was also a partner at McKinsey & Company.

Dr. Sinha's vast experience includes his stint as the MD & CEO of ABP Group, one of the leading media conglomerates in the country. A reputed name in academia and industry alike, he has a vision for the institute and its students, which is reflected in his words, "Believe in yourself; you are the maker of your destiny. To accept failure or to strive on is your choice. Charge ahead; the world's waiting for you."

IIST's alumni have managed to do just that, taking charge of their careers equipped with knowledge base and the confidence their institute has provided them. Many of them have not only become successful professionals but leaders of our times too. IIST's mission to create leaders of tomorrow has been boosted by the presence of Mr. Asheesh Gupta, who has become an integral part of the Governing body and the Vice Chairman of IIST.

Mr. Gupta, alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Calcutta is the Director and Co-founder of 9.9 Media. He has worked as the President of Hero Mindmine, the private education venture of the Hero Group. Taking on the venture from its nascent stage he led it to the position of profitability. He also brings over 20 years of experience in operations, consulting, general management and business building to IIST.

The Leadership team of the institute includes several esteemed members including Ms. Anuradha Das Mathur. She was in charge of Business World, India's most widely read business magazine. FORTUNE magazine & US State Department Global Emerging Women Leader's Program in 2009 chose her as one of the 30 rising star women in the world. Another sterling addition to the Leadership team is Dr. Peeush Bishnoi, the Director of the institute. A PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of Cincinnati, he has 4 patents and 12 eminent publications to his credit. He has also led global research teams at GE. With such well-established leaders on its Governing body, it won't be long before IIST becomes a leading name in academia, as it intends to.
