Teen Angst Gets a Makeover in Deer Park Avenue's Debut Music Video, Hey Maria

San Francisco indie band Deer Park Avenue debut first official music video directed by acclaimed director Rajan Patel and featuring cameo appearance by Grammy Award-nominated drummer Gregg Bissonette

It's a story told from three different perspectives, and one massive music video project from AVL Films and sister rock band Deer Park Avenue, who released their first official music video today for their song Hey Maria. It's teen angst with a twist, a Romeo vs. Heartbreaker story involving friends, family, basketball, and internal dialogue. The video can be viewed on YouTube at

The dynamic sister rock/pop duo has been nominated for several awards for their popular record Stop & Go, which features "Hey Maria" as the title track. Sarah Snyder, guitar and vocals, and Stephanie Snyder, drums and vocals, have been creating buzz on indie charts and airwaves since 2010, both in the US and Europe, playing at high profile venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe and Whisky A Go-Go, performing live on network television, and receiving press coverage by dozens of online and print publications.

"Hey Maria" was directed by Rajan Patel and produced by Diliana Deltcheva, both from Emmy-nominated production studio Framework LA, whose acclaimed work includes clients Panasonic, Universal Pictures, FOX's New Girl, and MTV. The video also features a cameo appearance from Grammy Award-winning drummer, Gregg Bissonette.

Deer Park Avenue kicked off a six-week-long high school tour to coincide with their release, bringing rock and roll to over 25,000 high school students in California. Their next performance in San Francisco is a benefit concert for WhyHunger on Friday November 16, for the John Lennon Imagine There's No Hunger Campaign.

Deer Park Avenue's single "Hey Maria" is available through iTunes at and through other major digital retailers. "Hey Maria" is the lead single of their acclaimed album Stop & Go, which the band co-produced with renowned bassist and producer Matt Bissonette (Elton John, Ringo Starr, Don Henley).
