SteadyRain Launches Innovative Product for Lake of the Ozarks Website

SteadyRain, announces its launch of www.funlake.com, a powerful website to promote the Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitor Bureau and its member businesses.

Award winning, St. Louis-based digital strategy, design and development agency, SteadyRain, announces its launch of www.funlake.com, a powerful website to promote the Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitor Bureau and its member businesses.

Following a digital strategy consulting engagement, SteadyRain built a powerful Orchard web solution featuring responsive design to attract website visitors on multiple devices. The completed website utilizes a simple content management system, allowing the Lake of the Ozarks CVB staff to easily add and edit content, enhancing the tourism organization's digital strategy and helping provide better resources to its target audiences.

"The integration of several of the Lake's previously deployed websites into one, new single point of contact for the Lake is a natural progression for their digital strategy," said SteadyRain Partner, Thompson Knox. "The goal for FunLake.com is to centralize information and enable discovery of content across the Lake's myriad audiences—it has much more to offer than weekend fun in the summertime. The idea that a group of friends or a family can look to FunLake.com for their vacation ideas has always been a goal, but embedding the group tour, relocation and local services information expands the site's reach beyond what a typical convention and visitor's bureau provides. And the Lake of the Ozarks CVB is much more than a typical CVB."

Through this adoption of a formal CMS platform and SteadyRain's customization, Lake of the Ozarks CVB team members have access to listings, events, image galleries, Google Maps integration, tagging and more. Future phases of the web solution will extend these content management capabilities to organization members through an enhanced login and listing functionality.

Added legacy URL support also ensures search result rankings are maintained, despite the integration of multiple sites into this single site. Designed responsively, the website provides an optimal visitor experience on desktop computers, tablets and smartphones. The new digital resource also provides hotel availability and reservations right from FunLake.com through a collaboration with JackRabbit, allowing visitors to plan all details of their trip in one place.

"Working with SteadyRain on the development of our new website www.funlake.com has been very exciting. In today's environment, individuals searching travel destinations want information easily available with the least number of clicks possible," said Tim Jacobsen, Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitor Bureau Executive Director. "We feel that SteadyRain has built a platform for the potential traveler to have a positive search experience that gives them pertinent information in a timely fashion. At the same time, SteadyRain has increased the exposure of our member businesses. We look forward to continuing to work with SteadyRain on all our website needs."

As the organization's members get acclimated to the digital tools and resources available, SteadyRain and the Lake of the Ozarks expect the website's content to grow quickly and efficiently. This will help travelers to the area plan their summer trips in one place, further increasing traffic to the new web solution. View the completed website at www.funlake.com to learn more.
