The Summer Stargazing Package at La Casa del Zorro invites guests to relax and enjoy some of nature's most spectacular natural wonders in comfort and style. The very first night of the Summer Stargazing Package, May 23, falls on the night of another first - the debut of the Camelopardalis Meteor Shower. This new shower was created by the dust of Comet 209P and has starwatchers anticipating 100 to as many as 400 meteors an hour at its peak. Thought to have the potential to rival the well-known Perseid showers, which fall on Aug. 12, the Camelopardalis will be front and center for desert-goers that evening. To kick off the season, La Casa del Zorro will also host astronomer Joseph Fedrow to give a special presentation and Q&A session to curious stellar explorers.
As the Camelopardalis is just the beginning of La Casa del Zorro's season of stars, guests will have plenty of opportunities to take advantage of the Summer Stargazing Package and night sky events.
