December 20, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Sperry Van Ness International Corporation, a commercial real estate brokerage franchisor, is proud to announce the addition of its newest franchise office, Sperry Van Ness/Fortune Real Estate, Inc. in El Paso, Texas. The family-run brokerage brings deep ties to the West Texas commercial real estate market, and adds to SVNIC's significant franchise growth nationwide.
Founded by Jim Salome in 1972, Fortune Real Estate, Inc. has brokered sales of multi-family buildings, shopping centers, industrial warehouses, and retail facilities in the El Paso area. Jim's daughter Laura, a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), joined the family business in 2009. Last year she helped to broker one of the company's largest deals to date - a $2.4 million transaction on two apartment complexes totaling 90 units in Phoenix, Ariz. The 40-year-old company is now joining SVNIC with the goal of growing its brokerage consulting services.
"For 40 years, Jim Salome has been a trusted figure in the El Paso real estate market," said Diane Danielson, chief platform officer for SVNIC. "Our goal is to grow our national network of local advisors by adding franchisees like Sperry Van Ness/Fortune Real Estate Inc., who are leading independent firms looking to grow in their respective markets."
Under the new Sperry Van Ness®/Fortune Real Estate, Inc. name, the office remains an independent entity and benefits from the support of SVNIC's nationwide brokerage and investment community. Properties are marketed on a national platform via real-time syndication to the major listing sites, social media and email campaigns, and the company's Monday National Sales Calls - a program that makes it possible for local advisors to bring their properties to a national audience.
"As a boutique, family-run firm, we were looking for the right company to help us spread our national wings," said Laura Salome. "Backed by the collaborative platform and people at SVNIC, I'm confident we will achieve bigger deals, recruit new brokers, and streamline our operations."
The Sperry Van Ness® commercial real estate platform covers more than 150 markets in the U.S. In addition to the opportunity to market their properties nationwide, advisors can also tap into national expertise through specialty Product Councils, and innovative client management and marketing run through a revolutionary cloud-based enterprise system.
