School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) organized Inspired Leadership Conference on 27th and 28th September 2013. The fifth edition of the conference was woven around the theme- Inspired Leadership: The Key to Innovation in Turbulent Times.
Online, December 9, 2013 (Newswire.com) - School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) organized Inspired Leadership Conference on 27th and 28th September 2013. The fifth edition of the conference was woven around the theme- Inspired Leadership: The Key to Innovation in Turbulent Times. The event aimed at understanding the finer nuances of leadership that people & organizations require to foster innovation and succeed in turbulent times.
The two-day conference witnessed the presence of eminent speakers including Mr. Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director, Titan Industries Ltd.; Mr. T K Srirang, Head - Human Resources, ICICI Bank; Padma Shri Dr. Kshama Metre - National Director, CORD. The speakers also included HR gurus of prominent multinationals like Whirlpool, GE, Mahindra & Mahindra, Canon, Dabur, Capgemini amongst many others.
The first day of the conference began with the birthday celebration of an inspired leader - Shaheed Bhagat Singh. The day was divided into three sessions on the theme Fostering innovation through Character, Competence and Enthusiasm. The event was marked by a special session using Open Space Technology.
The second day of conference proved to be an insightful platform for the participants as they got a chance to listen, interact and learn from the eminent industry stalwarts. To proffer a greater insight to the participants various panel discussions were hosted on different themes like Innovation by Young Inspired Leaders, Innovation at Grass Root Level and Leadership Lessons from Bhagavad Gita SEWA BHAV: The spirit of Go-Giving etc. Participants also witnessed street play performances from the top Delhi University colleges.
During the closing ceremony of the conference, Dr. Subhajyoti Ray, Dean, SOIL said, "Inspired Leadership Conference (ILC) explored the concept of innovation that continues to remain an important requirement for the country. Participants witnessed a variety of sessions that viewed innovation from multiple angles.
