Interactive, which employs 45 people in two locations in Enfield, North London, has been one of the success stories of the recession increasing its staff by 50% over the last three years as well as more than doubling its sales, showing what SMEs can do in terms of quality job creation.

The Investors in People Standard provides a framework for improving business performance and competitiveness through good practice in human resource development. Jane Jones, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Investors in People, said "This is a fantastic achievement by Interactive Ideas and it goes to show that working with Investors in People can benefit organisations of all sizes and sectors. The Investors in People Standard is practical, flexible and easy to use and we hope that more organisations in the area will be encouraged to work with us to help them get the best from their people."

Michael Trup, Managing Director said 'Lots of companies talk about "their people being their greatest asset" but our commitment to developing our team has shown in our results. When you look down the list of companies that have qualified for Silver Status you see some divisions of multinationals and some government bodies but almost no SMEs. We know our success as a fast-growing company is down to our people and it is a great tribute to them that we are one of the first private companies of our size to qualify. We would particularly like to thank our training partners The Leadership and Management People (www.theleadershipandmanagementpeople.co.uk) and Viva Associates (www.vivaassociates.co.uk) for helping us develop our team.'
