Sanders Bohlke Unveils Ghost Boy Available December 4th From Communicating Vessels

Ghost Boy is available worldwide through iTunes, Amazon and other digital stores, with the CD and specially packaged vinyl release to follow in February 2013.

Alternative artist Sanders Bohlke continues his artistic evolution with the digital release of his new full-length album Ghost Boy on the Communicating Vessels label.

Ghost Boy will be available worldwide through iTunes, Amazon and other digital stores on December 4, with the CD and specially packaged vinyl release to follow in February 2013.

The collection of eleven new songs, produced by Jeffrey Cain (Remy Zero), was recorded as a complete work - meant to be heard from start to finish - recalling what audiophiles miss about the "album age." On their own, each track is a standout, every song an expansion of Bohlke's unique style - sparse and ethereal, layered and complex, with lush soundscapes against a soulful voice.

About Sanders Bohlke:

Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Sanders Bohlke began where much of America's great music began - the South. Just as The Blues became Rock and Roll, Bohlke found his voice and fingers - a formidable duo capable of austere beauty or unbridled heartbreak - in the Mississippi Delta. He honed his craft further in Oxford, where he attended the University of Mississippi and recorded his self-titled debut, an album hailed as passionate and praised for its honesty.
Bohlke's search for honesty has taken him across some fairly expansive musical territory in the time since that first release. He's shared stages with artists such as Badly Drawn Boy, Tom Morello and Gomez and, along the way, compiled an impressive collection of songs that were released as EP's and digital singles and featured in film and TV, including the hit series Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.

Tracks such as 'The Weight of Us,' 'Search and Destroy,' 'The War' and 'Quiet Ye Voices' are far from uniform but alike in their diversion from his earlier work - the tone is darker and the instrumentation more complex.

On Ghost Boy, Sanders, in collaboration with producer Jeffrey Cain, continues that evolution, perfecting a soundworld that deftly highlights both the beauty and the dark romance of his songs.
