Reset Your BlackBerry Without Pulling Your Battery With HotFix™

HotFix, is a Blackberry utility application that allows users to perform a "hard restart" without pulling out their battery.

appsFX, a leading provider of BlackBerry Smartphone applications for both business and personal use, announces the release of HotFix, a utility application that allows users to perform a "hard restart" without pulling out their battery. HotFix is supported on OS 4.3 and above, including the new OS 6.0 on the Torch.

"If you use a BlackBerry, you've had to "pull" your battery in order to reboot and free up valuable memory, which in turn speeds up your smartphone allowing it to perform better", says Rocci Della Maggiore, President of appsFX. "HotFix lets you proactively reset your device at anytime of the day or night or, when you feel the need."

HotFix minimizes the need for a "battery pull" by allowing you to restart your device by recreating a "hard reset" with a push of a button. HotFix can be done in real-time or scheduled so it doesn't interfere with your productivity. In addition, pre-set conditions can be established such as "low memory" to trigger an alert from HotFix to let you know that a restart is needed immediately.

For businesses with multiple users, HotFix can be deployed easily to as many users as the company likes through the use of their existing Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) using the appsFX plug-in or for companies that do not have BES, they can deploy using appsFX proprietary Portal Management Push Technology (PMPT).
