During the last 21 months the international consortium constituted to run a European project entitled QATRAIN for Students (Q4S) prepared and launched a fully accessible web resource available in www.q4s.eu.

The resource was developed following research conducted in each partner country (UK, Bulgaria, Turkey and Greece), and then further refined following rigorous testing with 250 disabled learners from across the partnership.

The fully accessible resource provides:
• practical advice and guidance to help disabled learners enhance their understanding about the reasonable adjustments that can be made to accommodate their disability in the learning context;
• advice about what they might expect of their teachers in terms of adjustments to practice;
• a skills 'self-check'
• advice about disclosure and confidentiality;
• links to a range of multi format case studies;
• links to additional online resources.

The Q4S Partners have had very good feedback about the usefulness of the resource from disabled students, teachers and educators, from parents and from Government ministers. If you are a representative of the mentioned group you we call you to take a minute or two to visit our website and see for yourself the sort of assistance it offers and how it promotes the disabled learners' self-advocacy.

The Web Resource is available in four languages, namely English, Bulgarian, Greek, and Turkish. Just select the flag of the preferred language and it will take you to the selected language version. In general the content is almost the same although the language versions may vary depending on the necessary adjustments made to meet the local circumstances. This means that each user from those four countries can find information and guidance developed specially for him/her.

The administrative end of the Q4S project will be 30th September, 2011 as the project has 24-month duration and is 75% funded by Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission. No matter the official end of the project the Web Resource will remain active at least for the future 5 years.

Go to www.q4s.eu and discover a way to succeed in your studies and the adjustments which can be made to help you as a disabled student.
