QSports Celebrates 1600 Members in 6 Months, Confirms GO Sport as 2011/12 Season Sponsor

Online, December 13, 2011 (Newswire.com) - In less than a year of operation, QSports Leagues, Qatar's newest sports and social club, has just confirmed the registration of its 16 hundredth member on and also confirmed a major corporate sponsor.
Launched in June by Qatari entrepreneur Ghanim Al Mohannadi under the theme "have fun, get fit, make friends", QSports is Qatar's first organised recreational sports network and offers a variety of sports across the Doha area. Sports are open to all nationals and residents in Qatar include indoor and outdoor soccer leagues, tapeball cricket, volleyball and basketball.
Mr Mohannadi said "QSports runs 3 league seasons a year, so there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to sign up and play either as an individual or form a team with their friends or work colleagues." QSports season 1 is currently underway with over 900 athletes actively participating in various sports. Season 2 starts in March 2012 with registration expected to open before the new year. With season 1 in full swing, QSports also confirmed sports equipment retailer, GO Sport, as a headline sponsor for the 2011/2012 season.
