Vinh Moc Tunnels of Vietnam Among Undiscovered Spots in Asia

It is great news for Vietnamese as well as Vietnam lovers that Vinh Moc tunnels in Central of Vietnam has been recently listed among undiscovered tourist attractions in Asia.

As proudly reported by Vietnamvisa.hk, a local website of Vietnam-visa.com, which was designed to make it convenient for Hong Kong residents and citizens to reach Vietnam visa on arrival service, the US-based tourism website Thrillist has recently released the list of undiscovered spots in Asia and it is a great honor for Vietnam to have its Vinh Moc tunnels named in the list.  

According to the website, during the Vietnam War, villagers dug these tunnels by hand, desperate to hide from heavy bombing. There are kitchens, wells, and rooms here where families lived underground for years.

Located in Vinh Thach commune, Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri Province, the Vinh Moc tunnel is a steel fortress which helps Vinh Moc army and people fight against severe raids of the US troops in the war between 1965 and 1972.

As suggested by the website, today, along with the former Demilitarized Zone, the tunnels can be explored on guided tours
