USB-AD14f + OR8: Powerful Team For Measurement, Monitoring, And Control

Regarding the new USB data acquisition system USB-AD14f, measurement specialist bmcm has optimized universal use and price-performance ratio. Combined with the optocoupler and relay board OR8, it proves its real qualities being especially suitable for monitoring and control of machines.

Continuous monitoring of machines and plants helps to avoid damages, manufacturing errors, or expensive breakdowns.

With temperature measurements, for example, overheating of frictional parts can be detected early. Before the whole production is disrupted, an emergency shutdown or cooling is started in time.

Machine Monitoring and Control for less than 300€: The DAQ system USB-AD14f is easily installed and connected directly with the optocoupler/relay board OR8.

This is just one example why monitoring and control of machines is necessary.

BMC Messsysteme GmbH, longtime manufacturer for measurement technology made in Germany introduces a practical and low-priced solution for measurement and control tasks concerning machine processes:

The new all-round USB data acquisition system USB-AD14f samples 16 analog measuring quantities (e.g. temperature, pressure, vibration) in the +/-10V range with up to 20kHz.
Analog control is possible with the analog 12-bit output in the +/-5V range.

In addition, digital signals can be recorded and switched at 8 digital inputs and outputs each.
The integrated 16-bit counter is suitable for the acquisition of quantities, for example.

If the USB-AD14f is combined with the longtime top seller OR8, it shows its digital advantages:

Eight optocouplers on the OR8 convert digital inputs in the range of 5..30V into TTL signals.
Additional eight control lines (e.g. for valves) can be switched with up to 60V/6A via relays.

Due to galvanic isolation of the channels from each other and from the data acquisition and control system, the whole system is protected against high potentials and interferences often existing in machine environment.

The USB-AD14f and the OR8 are installed easily. Both components are connected 1:1 with a standard D-Sub25 cable and mounted on a DIN rail.

Analog signals are available at the D-Sub37 female of the DAQ system, digital lines are attached directly via screw terminals of the OR8.

USB-AD14f is bus-powered, the optocouplers and relays are supplied with 9-40V by an external power supply unit.

Featuring Plug & Play, the software-based installation of the DAQ system is also simple.
The entire software for installation and programming of the USB-AD14f is included for free.

The device is compatible not only with Windows XP/7/8 but with MAC OS X, and UNIX systems, too.

Like all DAQ systems of bmcm, all functions of the DAQ system are optimally supported by bmcm's own measurement software NextView.
LabVIEW VI's are also included for free.

As universal monitoring and control system for machines and plants, the all-round solution of BMC Messsysteme GmbH is so attractive in price that it is worth to visit the bmcm website for further information.
