The Bullying Awareness Network and Dr. Spinner Score Big With the Women's Wellness Conference and Concert

Dr. JJ Spinner, The Bullying Awareness Network and B.A.N. Entertainment successfully host dynamic Women's Wellness Benefit Conference and Concert.

​Launching off the month of October (the domestic violence awareness month) was Hollywood’s new black pope, Dr. JJ Spinner, of defending one’s rites of passage with hosting the Bullying Awareness Network, Inc.’s Women’s Wellness Conference and Concert this past Sunday, September 20, 2015. 

According to Dr. JJ Spinner, the purpose of the event was not to bring attention to the nationwide problem of bullying and domestic violence, but it was to provide solutions to end all forms of bullying. “The day after the event someone called me and told me that she was leaving an abusive relationship and asked for resources,” said Dr. Spinner.

“The night featured some of the best talent in the world,” stated Tony Nicholas, Son of Fayard Nicholas of the world famous Nicholas Brothers, who expressed such fondness for the violinist, Korina Davis and  Grammy Nominee Singer, Angie Fisher, two of the best in the country, showcased why with her covet of the national anthem and her hit, IRS. Guests came from near and as far as the east coast from places like New York and Florida.  During the event, Dr. Spinner paid tribute to Exetta Harris on behalf of her late husband, Robin Harris; Tony Nicolas; Sabra Waddy who helps organizes runs dozens of Non-profits and community events.

Through the empowerment speeches of Jewel Diamond Taylor, Dr. Rosie Milligan and Rev. June Gaitlin, the theme of forgiveness could be heard clearly.  Dr. Spinner’s personal motto and the motto for the organization is that “Forgiving of oneself for whatever happen in the past is the first stop and key to moving forward, and when one moves forward do so with the spirit of excellence. When we can do this, then we can help others conqueror their ills. This is vitally important to ending all forms of bullying, which BAN strives to end (domestic violence, bullying of all sorts, and sex trafficking).

In attendance at the event were a number of women from various transitional homes in South Central Los Angeles, in addition to countless number of celebrities politicians and professionals: such as Ernest Thomas, Desereta Jackson (Color Purple, Sister Act), Davi Davenport on the red carpet, Tyrone DuBose, Trisha Mann-Grant, Brandon Larkins,  Jon Jon of Troop, Cheryl Cooley of Brooks, Tony Grant, Grammy Award Winning Singer, Kevin Mc Call, comedians, Lester Barrie and Stevie Mack. 

Even prior to Sunday’s event, Dr. Spinner arranged to have a number of prominent women visit the homes to empower and encourage these women that their life is not over after leaving an abusive relationship, but the best of their life is just beginning. Guest speakers included the organization’s spokesperson, Christy Gibel of the hit how Little Women of LA and Michel’le of LA R&B Divas.

The goals for B.A.N. is to continue to work with people of purpose and who support the vision of the organization of ending all forms of bullying, such as top publicist and honoree, Tonya Carmouche, Sabra Waddy, Christy Gibel and Tracy Mabe and others.

Dr. Spinner continues his pledge of working diligently alongside his wife, fabled Boca Raton, Florida, attorney, N. Lester Spinner.  Moreover, BAN will continue to partner with other companies such as the Meat Movers, who provide free moving services to victims of domestic violence.

Dr. Spinner looks forward to expanding the organization’s initiative, and he feels honored to have been invited to participate in the King’s Day Parade.  Also, he is diligently working his platform to the schools and looks forward to increasing literacy, while building character to bringing awareness.  Lastly, he is having a BAN International Beauty Pageant and the winners will be able to be a part of the float at the King’s Parade, which will aired on Channel 7. 

Definitely, in a city of big time stars, no other star shines bigger than the 6’11” behemoth Dr. Spinner, who is scoring big over some of society’s ill opponents.
