Team NPM Continues the Fight Against Cancer
Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. Supports Yale School of Medicine Discovery to Cure Beverly Levy Walk
New Haven, October 2, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Team NPM, a proud team of walkers from Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. participated in the Discovery to Cure walk in New Haven and the Yale campus this past Sunday, September 28. Discovery to Cure, a program in the Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine, focuses on research to develop new methods of early detection and treatment of women’s reproductive cancers leading to advancements in clinical patient care. This is the second year of the walk and the second year of Neubert, Pepe and Monteith’s sponsorship of the event and support of the cause.
There was a large turnout, seemingly larger than last year’s inaugural walk, and a beautiful warm fall day. Event organizers noted that this year’s donations exceeded $180,000 and they welcome continued participation. The crowd listened attentively to the personal stories of cancer survivors and family members of cancer victims who had lost their battle. The Discovery to Cure walk concluded on a festive note of shared personal and medical achievements and a call to action to return next year.
