Chicago, IL, October 28, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Internet service provider Bitpalace is replacing its Linux shared hosting web space with new, more powerful packages. The new offer is aimed at freelancers as well as small and medium size companies, as it provides a lot of computing power and sufficient storage for regular website and e-mail applications, for a small monthly price of less than $ 2.40, including a domain name.
Each “Bitpalace Business Booster” package boasts 10 GB of storage, which can be extended to a maximum of 1 TB in 1 GB steps, at prices from $ 0.36 per GB and per month. Customers receive an unlimited number of e-mail inboxes and trust-center certified SSL-encryption for their e-mail. FTP connections can also be SSL-encrypted through SFTP, free of charge. Sub domains and traffic are unlimited. The new system uses MySQL databases with a current phpMyAdmin version. Customers also receive a mailing list server and website statistics. They can choose the “Roundcube” or “Horde” webmail system. Moreover, the new servers use the current Plesk control center, available in English, Spanish and German.
All customer settings, e-mail, databases and web space files are fully backed up on a daily basis, free of charge, and can be restored retroactively as far back as 14 days as part of the free premium support. Customers can also set up their own backups to FTP storage areas of their choice on other servers.
The new application repository is particularly practical: it can be used to install more than 130 common web space applications with a simple mouse click, including Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal.
The “Bitpalace Business Boosters” are based on Intel Xeon E5-1650 v3 hexa-core Haswell machines with hyper-threading technology, SATA III 6 GBit/s hard drives running at 7200 rpm and write back cache on LSI RAID controllers with BBU. RAM is more than sufficient at 128 GB DDR4 ECC. Each host is connected to the backbone at a guaranteed speed of 1 GBit/s. Machines equipped with CentOS 7.1 run NGINX as a front-end web server and Apache as a back-end server, serving IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. Data delivery is compressed using GZIP. Using this reverse proxy combination, websites are supplied to the browser extremely rapidly. The typical CPU load is below 20%, typical RAM load is below 15%.
The previously optional premium support, which also included technical support using a toll-free phone number, is now a mandatory part of the new offer. However, it is already included in the package price of less than $ 2.40 per month. The hosting packages can be canceled each month, subject to six weeks notice, and can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually, using any of the common payment methods.
