ROW Adventures Launches Cuba's First People-to-People Kayak Tour

ROW Adventures announced the launch of their newest trip, Cuba's first-ever people-to-people kayak tour. Trips will start running this November; Year one trips are already filling up quickly.

ROW Adventures announced the launch of their new people-to-people kayak tour in Cuba, the first of its kind on the island. This new trip combines culture, wildlife and the great outdoors, along with exploration by kayak, allowing travelers a move intimate and unique experience on the island.

This eight-day multisport and cultural tour will start running in November 2016; the season will run from November through April.

"We are delighted to be blazing new water trails with our first-ever Cuba people-to-people kayaking tour. A combination of superb Cuban guides and our own kayak leader promise to make for an active week of both exploring the area, and learning from Cubans about their own country. Designed for the novice or intermediate kayaker, we expect a robust response to our new Cuba itinerary that focuses on the western half of the island."

Peter Grubb, ROW Adventures Founder & Co-Owner

ROW Adventures co-owner, Peter Grubb, states: "We are delighted to be blazing new water trails with our first-ever Cuba people-to-people kayaking tour.  A combination of superb Cuban guides and our own kayak leader promise to make for an active week of both exploring the area, and learning from Cubans about their own country. Designed for the novice or intermediate kayaker, we expect a robust response to our new Cuba itinerary that focuses on the western half of the island."

On this one-of-a-kind trip, travelers will not only go kayaking in the Bay of Pigs, Zapata National Park, Mangrove Bay, Lago Hanabanilla, and in the bay of Playa Ancon from Marina Marlin to Cayo Blanco, but will also explore Havana, visit a crocodile breeding facility, taste Cuban cigars, visit Ernest Hemmingway's house, stay with locals in Trinidad, visit a horse whisperer at a local ranch, take a walking tour of the botanical gardens in Cienfuego, and many more culturally immersive activities.

Grubb adds, "We gave our alumni travelers advance notice to sign up for this trip and early indications are that the tour will prove quite popular. The ability to have an authentic cultural experience in Cuba, while also kayaking in some of the most pristine waters along the coast, promises to provide a rich learning environment for our guests."

ROW emphasizes small-group trips, and this will continue with their Cuba tour. With no more than 14 guests per trip, and only ten trips per season, ROW will only have 140 spots available each year. In early June, ROW informed their alumni guests about the new trip and has since booked about half of the available spots for their first season.
