Rosslyn Park Embrace 3G Synthetic Turf Technology
One of the oldest Rugby Clubs in England, Rosslyn Park, have opted to install 3G synthetic Turf technology further enhancing the game and providing facilities for the local community.
Dundee, United Kingdom, July 22, 2015 (Newswire.com) - After almost a month of preparation work National League One team, Rosslyn Park, are ready to install their new 3G pitch.
Although one of the oldest clubs in the country Rosslyn Park have become the third rugby union team to convert to synthetic turf from SIS Pitches and grass fibres from Bonar Yarns, following on from Newcastle Falcons (2014) and Saracens (2013) who both play in the Aviva Premiership League.
The current natural turf pitch at the London stadium is being replaced with SIS Pitches’ premium product, Rugger 65, which is the system also used by the two Premiership teams. The top quality system features Bonar Yarns unique MN Ultra fibres, providing a balance between the three key characteristics of durability, resilience and skin friendliness – making it ideal for rugby, due to proven durability even when subjected to intensive use.

Rosslyn Park made the decision to convert their natural grass rugby pitch into a full synthetic surface on its main site, to increase activity across its membership and the local community.
The new 3G pitch forms part of a whole club development project titled 'Securing the club's future' which also includes new shower and toilet facilities, new fencing, and improvements to the bar and catering facilities.

Final work is to be completed within the coming weeks, with the new pitch ready in plenty of time for the new rugby season starting in September.
