Retriev Technologies Inc. Appoints New President

Lancaster, OH, January 8, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Retriev Technologies Inc., a global leader in the field of battery recycling and management, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph A. Acker, Jr. as President of its North American operations.

Mr. Acker has worked in various capacities throughout the battery industry and has over 25 years of related experience in the battery recycling field.   Mr. Acker started his career as part of a core team to design and construct a large scale battery recycling operation for Exide Technologies.  In 2010, he left his post as Vice president and General Manager of Exide’s recycling division and accepted the position of Vice President of Technology at Johnson Controls.  Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to Director of Recycling Operations and was responsible for Johnson Controls' global recycling efforts.

These experiences make Mr. Acker the ideal candidate to lead Retriev Technologies into the 21st century.  As president of Retriev Technologies, Mr. Acker will direct all facets of Retriev’s operations - including plant management, recycling line construction, technology R&D, customer acquisition and business development.
