Pulchritude Founder Kayla Naab Talks Big November Game: IFWC, Poetry Phenom, and PAMLA

Kayla Naab, co-founder of Pulchritude Press, offers up the latest November happenings for the organization including revealing the IFWC results, launching the Poetry Phenom outfit, and the Press's attendance at PAMLA Conference 2015 in Portland, OR.

November will be full of news at Pulchritude Press. This organization, led by frontwoman Kayla Naab and co-founder Joe Naab, is taking major strides in this, their third month since inception. With a following several-hundred strong already and growing, the team is ready to take on new projects in November.

In October, Pulchritude Press announced the winners of their Inaugural Featured Writer Contest (IFWC) which included Bernadette Harris in the review category, Carissa Chesanek in fiction, Kane Lesser in nonfiction, Zeek Thomas in drama, and Rhiannon Schmidt in poetry. The publication celebrated these writers by featuring them in a full-page sliding banner on the website, a full gamut of social notoriety, as well as in a website post featuring an interview with each writer. This of course was in addition to publishing the winning piece for all to see.

"We're really excited about the buzz of activity coming in November. I encourage our community of writers to keep watch for opportunities to connect with us and to stay tuned for some of the big events we've got going on!"

What's Next? Pulchritude Press is set to launch their Poetry Phenom contest on November 1. This contest features cash prizes and even more notoriety. Entrants have until December 21 to submit their work in the poetry category.

What else is up for Pulchritude this month? Pulchritude Press has conducted an interview with up-and-coming Journal-for-teens Forest for the Trees - fronted by Emily VanderArk. This month, followers can find Pulchritude's interview on the FFTT website, and FFTT's answers on the Pulchritude site.

On November 6-8, the Pulch crew will be in Portland, Oregon for the annual Pacific Ancient & Modern Language Association (PAMLA) Conference. This three day convention will include organizational forums as well as dozens of readings, workshops, and lectures as well as various networking opportunities. Pulchritude plans to attend the event and report back to their followers by way of social media and their own blog.

Every Tuesday of the month, Pulchritude Press will feature a guest blogger. All written by Pulch contributors, these blogs will span a variety of topics from how to deal with writers' block to handling rejection in style.

Followers are encouraged to keep watch for all the Pulchritude movement this month by tuning into Twitter, Instagram. Pinterest, and/or Tumblr as well as the Pulch website & blog.
