Pilot-Turned-Author Steve Taylor Takes The Lead With Elvis Presley

"Wheels Up: Sky Jinks in the Jet Age" author Steve Taylor offers rare print of the last Convair 880 to be flown by Delta. This plane became Elvis' personal jet "The Lisa Marie."

Steve Taylor recently released his first book, “Wheels Up: Sky Jinks in the Jet Age,” which tells stories of his time as a jet pilot in the cockpit. With excellent reviews, the book has started to build a strong following, but one aspect of Steve Taylor that recently came to light is that he was on the crew that flew the last Convair 880 commercial flight—the plane that would become the personal jet of Elvis Presley.

From Citadel cadet to Delta captain, Taylor has taken readers of his book into a world few have seen. It's both humorous and heartfelt—fast, fun and true—and now through the promotion of that book, you can own a part of both aviation and Elvis Presley history by entering his new competition.

Steve Taylor will be promoting “Wheels Up: Sky Jinks in the Jet Age” throughout the next few months with radio appearances, numerous blog interviews and further competitions. Steve is also working on a second book to be released this year. You can find “Wheels Up: Sky Jinks in the Jet Age” on Amazon, and you can learn more about Steve Taylor by emailing his press office at nick@nickwale.org.
