Long Island's Only Local Storytelling Slam Features True Stories About GHOSTS on Oct. 25
True stories told live, without notes creates a compelling, entertaining evening that flows with emotion and comedy. 4 storytellers but only 1 is telling the unvarnished truth. The audience gets to judge and the whole truth comes out by the end.
Smithtown, NY, October 3, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Long Island's only local storytelling slam, titled (mostly) TRUE THINGS will feature stories on the theme of "GHOSTS" at the next scheduled event on Saturday October 25, 2014, 7 pm at Lifestage, Inc, 496 Smithtown Bypass, Suite 202, Smithtown, NY 11787. This slam will feature 4 storytellers - each sharing a 6-8 minute story, without notes - and one of those stories will be absolutely true. The other 4 are true narratives peppered with anything from little white lies to whopping inconsistencies carefully crafted into the telling. After the stories the audience questions the storytellers, then votes for the nothing-but-the-truth teller. Winners get a prize. Everyone experiences the humor, heart and human connection that makes live storytelling of true – or mostly true – personal narratives fun and fascinating entertainment. Storytellers who perform are drawn from Long Island's enormous pool of smart, creative people from all walks of life.

Jude Treder-Wolff, host and creator of (mostly) TRUE THINGS is a writer/performer, singer, storyteller and creative arts psychotherapist. Her most recent solo storytelling show Crazytown: my first psychopath was selected for the 2013 Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York, the 2012 Chicago and San Francisco Fringe Festivals, performed at The 2012 Examined Life Conference for physicians and health care professionals, The Peoples Improv Theater in New York, The Charles B.
