Legend of Ace Launches its Kickstarter as the First-Ever Social Game App Built Socially via the Crowdfund Giant

By Gaining Backers Who Double as Beta Testers and the Developers of More Game Levels, the Puzzle Plus Casino Game Looks to Distinguish Itself

What if a small indie development team built the first 100 levels of a new puzzle game, used Kickstarter to rally Backers to become beta testers, then infused the game with Backer suggestions and built the levels they wanted to see next? Imagine a social game that was built based on what the people wanted rather than replicate other popular match-3 puzzle games in the market. Instead, a game that combines puzzle boards and casino classics of slots and poker to create the ultimate medieval saga with a worthy goal of saving the captured queen. Legend of Ace-Casino Quest. The first social game, made socially.

Kickstarter Backers join the movement and become beta testers with only a $20.00 or more pledge. Beta testers will collaborate on specific tasks set by the development team such as new levels, naming the characters, and the creation of new characters and special weapons to help the player on their quest. The developers plan to launch on Facebook in April with the first 100 levels and then on all mobile devices shortly after. The Kickstarter launches on Thursday, February 26th at 7pm PST.

"Social gaming is all about playing with friends, so we wanted to flip it on it's head and make the game socially with friends."

Damon Harman, Founder / CEO

With characters inspired by the times of kings and queens plus poker cards, social gamers get to travel the medieval saga map by becoming a worthy knight and free the captured Queen. Use, 3, 4, or 5 puzzle matches traveling your way through Casino Land and eventually arriving at Shadow Land where you must defeat the evil Sorcerer. If you run out of lives (Antes), you can play poker and slots to win more chips allowing you to buy more Antes and special boosters to help beat the harder levels. Getting 3 stars on a level matters in this game because for each star earned you draw a poker card. Trade cards with friends to help you make the poker hand you need to unlock a slot machine with free credits. Pull the slot and win chips that can be used to buy special weapons and perks to enhance your game experience.

With the first 100-levels nearly complete for the initial Facebook app, a crowd fund will enable the indie development team to complete the game in time for its April launch. Additional stretch goals will enable the team to build up to 800 levels or more and launch on iOS and Android mobile devices.

Casino and poker legend, Lyle Berman stepped in to provide capital for the first 100-levels, initial marketing, and consulting for the casino aspects of the game. Creator of the World Poker Tour and head of the company that built the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, he stated “I think it’s a fun idea to get the people involved in helping us make a better game. Kickstarter is a great platform to accomplish that goal. I wish Kickstarter was around years ago, I’ve been involved in many ventures that could have benefited from it.”

“Social gaming is all about playing with friends, so we wanted to flip it on it’s head and make the game socially with friends.” says founder Damon Harman. A producer of several shows, he assembled a team to hit every aspect he envisioned players would draw to. Lyle brought in the casino feel, Aaron Schumann came on as creative director, Pinaki Saha, a veteran in the social gaming world, joined the team to run development, and 2SenseDigitalPromotions took on the social media apparatus needed for social gaming engagement and interaction.

Damon continues, “The beauty is the social gamer has the power here, everything that got on your nerves with other puzzle and casino game apps gets fixed here. This is what makes us different. We are building a game for the players, by the players. Why not get the players involved before launching a game and allow them to put their thumb print on it?”
