"Kid's Day Off" to Showcase Activities and After-School Programs for East Valley Kids

Chandler, AZ , July 14, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Valley families can learn about the latest after-school activities and area programs for toddlers, tweens and teens at the “Kid’s Day Off” Activity Showcase and Expo on Saturday, August 16th, from 9 am – 3 pm in the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort Ballroom located at One San Marcos Place in Downtown Chandler.

The special community event is free to the public and will feature music and prizes by Radio Disney from 10 am – 12 pm, live entertainment on two stages, an ice cream eating contest,  dance and martial art demonstrations, a mobile Video Game unit, exhibits by “kid-friendly” businesses and activities and giveaways for all ages.  For more information, visit www.chandler.macaronikid.com.

Presented by Macaroni Kid of Chandler and Queen Creek/San Tan Valley, the first-time expo will showcase unique activities for boys and girls on their “days off” from school, including weekends and Spring/Fall breaks. Proceeds from a raffle at the event will benefit ICAN, a Chandler-based nonprofit that provides free programs that empower kids to be productive, self-confident and responsible members of the community.
