KhayaMedia, the logistics provider for media companies, federations and sponsors, offers amongst others accommodation and transport solutions at big sporting events. After a successful World Cup in Brazil (with 1500 guests) the company is aiming for new heights at 2016’s most important calendar events; the Olympics in Rio and UEFA EURO in France. “With Rafael our global approach becomes even more visible”, says CEO Volkhard Bauer. “He has lived all around Europe and is excited to deal with different cultural backgrounds.”
KhayaMedia currently has offices in Rio de Janeiro, Paris and Moscow. With the focus of the sports world shifting to the East KhayaMedia is in the process of opening offices in Seoul and Tokyo, for the Olympics in 2018 and in 2020.
Founded in 2007 KhayaMedia has grown from strength to strength and has clients on all five continents. The Olympic Games in Rio will become the next highlight in the company’s history. Due to its strong footprint in Brazil KhayaMedia managed to contract hundreds of hotel rooms as well as private apartments close to the Olympic Park. “We are undoubtedly the market leader in providing apartments at big sporting events since we have years of experience in this field”, says Volkhard. After identifying condominiums with a very high standard KhayaMedia signed hundreds of agreements with individual owners. “We then packaged them and sold them to large groups. The operational team in France has visited close to 1000 hotels in all the host cities of next years UEFA EURO Championship. KhayaMedia developed its own grading system to identify the best suited hotels for its clients. “Media companies have very specific requirements”, explains new Global Sales Director Rafael Sperotto. “We aim to satisfy these and therefore do a lot of site inspections before actually contracting rooms at certain hotels. For France we are well prepared for the event and look forward to Europe’s big football festival”, says Rafael.
