Federal prisoners have access to MP3 players but only commercial secular music is made available to them for a fee. From His Heart Ministries is joining with Liberty Quest Foundation to bring audio ministries to prisoners no matter what their faiths
Weston, Massachusetts, July 30, 2014 (Newswire.com) - P.J. McMann, Director of Liberty Quest Foundation, Ltd. is announcing a positive liaison between the Streamlining Faith Initiative and the From His Heart Ministries whereby FHHM will provide free downloadable streaming faith-based content to federal inmates in the Bureau of Prisons. The Streamlining Faith Initiative was conceived due to the facts that prison inmates have no access to hear religious music or words of inspiration outside scheduled weekly services.
Within the Federal Prison System inmates are allowed to purchase MP3 players and download commercial music for a fee. This commercial music is the only content made available to inmates at this time. As the infrastructure exists, an opportunity is available for little to no additional cost to expand the reach of the gospel with free content provided by numerous religious streaming providers.
From His Heart Ministries is the multi-media broadcast ministry of Pastor Jeff Schreve. The sermons originate from his pulpit ministry as Pastor of First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas.
Schreve began FHHM, a radio and television broadcast outreach, in January of 2005. Pastor Jeff passionately "tells it like it is" with clear biblical content combined with engaging, personal stories that are relevant, compassionate and humorous.
Pastor Jeff’s mission coincides with the Streaming Faith Initiative. He states, “We exist to proclaim real truth and real hope from the loving heart of God to the lost and hurting to lead them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that no matter how badly you may have messed up in life, God still loves you and still has a wonderful plan for you.“
P.J. McMann of Liberty Quest said, “Jeff is a powerful speaker, whether you are religious or not. His messages will enhance inmates’ minds and souls, making them better people which should be one of the goals of our penal system. We couldn’t be more pleased to have had him agree to provide free content for this initiative. We are a step closer to making the Word of God more readily available in a 21st century delivery mode to all prisoners.”
Liberty Quest is a Christian-based organization whose mission is to provide scholarships to children who have or have had a parent incarcerated. In addition, Liberty Quest promotes and lobbies for improvement in prison conditions, prison programs, and other opportunities for prisoners to enhance their minds, bodies and souls so as to provide more humane treatment of those incarcerated and to reduce prisoner recidivism.
