It Was 'A Time to Celebrate' at Roche Bobois Aventura, Florida Grand Opening
After much anticipation, the Paris-based furniture icon opened their third South Florida location. The 4,500-sq.-ft showroom is among the 250+ showrooms that Roche Bobois has in over 45 countries.
AVENTURA, FL, June 17, 2015 (Newswire.com) - A grand time was had by all at the Roche Bobois Paris celebration of their new Aventura showroom. “Time” was the theme of the June 10th evening as over 175 invited guests enjoyed a lavish reception at what is now Roche Bobois’ third South Florida showroom, the other two being in Coral Gables and North Palm Beach. As the largest designer and distributor of contemporary home furnishings in the world, the new Aventura location is now among over 250 showrooms in over 45 countries. Guest of honor was internationally acclaimed designer Sacha Lakic who came from Paris specifically to attend. Among Lakic’s many design achievements is a line of home furnishings created exclusively for Roche Bobois.
The evening was defined by gourmet cuisine, live entertainment and a spectacular designer timepiece display from event partner and internationally known watchmaker F.P. Journe. The glittering displays from their Bal Harbour gallery were showcased along with Roche Bobois’ iconic Astrolab dining tables, which inspired the “time” theme of the event. The Astrolab features glistening wheels and gears, reminiscent of a watch mechanism, which can be seen turning beneath the glass tabletop as they automatically extend and retract the table leaves via a remote control. Other elements that factored into the “time” theme at 4,500-sq.-ft. showroom were floor-to-ceiling replications of the soaring clock at the Musee d’orsay in Paris.

Event partners also included Bastille French Whiskey serving signature cocktails and sommelier Jack Cohen, who conducted champagne tastings throughout the evening.
Part of the evening’s itinerary was a ribbon cutting ceremony in which included Aventura Mayor Enid Rosenthal and other members of the city council. Other special invitees included the general membership and executive committee of the Aventura Marketing Council.
