Heidi: Alpine Adventure Now Available as a Free App

Brussels, Belgium, November 3, 2015 (Newswire.com) - After enjoying enormous success in Germany, where parents and critics alike were quick to praise the child-friendly interface, challenging yet achievable nature of the games and the valuable lessons concerning family and friendship contained within the games, the app has been given an update. It is also now available in the British, Spanish, French and Belgian iTunes and Google Play Stores for free.

Heidi: Alpine Adventure is based on the new GCI TV series inspired by Johanna Spyri’s world-famous story of Heidi, the Swiss orphan girl who moves to the Alps to live with her grandfather in the mountains.

Together with Heidi and her best friend, Peter, children can discover the magical world around them. The app has 19 mini-games, all of which feature progressive difficulty levels and are designed to develop core skills such as counting, memory and colours as well as creativity through music and cooking meals.

As well as being free to play, the new version of the app features a number of changes following feedback from parents. The most significant changes are:

• An improved tutorial to help guide users
• Additional graphics which allow the game to be played without sound
• Improved effects to enhance the gaming experience
• Enhanced visual rewards after the successful completion of a game
• Minor alterations to a number of the games to rework and improve them
• Minor bug fixes
