Evening of Hockey and Hope for ALS Patients and Families Hosted by Simplesa ®

A Group of ALS Patients and Families have been invited to the BBT Center on November 19th for an evening of Hockey

Simplesa® is welcoming the ALS Florida Chapter and a group of patient members and their families to an evening of Florida Panthers hockey on November 19th, 2015.  The ALS Florida Chapter “supports people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and their loved ones through services and education.”[1]  ALS or sometimes referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that impacts approximately 30,000 people in the United States. Coping with a chronic illness like ALS can be very depressing and difficult for the patient and caregivers.  Support and resources are very important to bring attention to the disease, as well as events like this to raise awareness.  The event is planned just prior to Thanksgiving to allow a small group of ALS patients and family members to attend a Florida Panther Hockey game.  Tickets, parking, and food have been donated by sponsors to help this group enjoy and engage in a sporting event.

The event is being sponsored by Craig Zinn Automotive Group and Subaru of Pembroke Pines.  The Craig Zinn Automotive Group is a family owned and operated automotive business in South Florida since 1965. CEO Craig Zinn has been committed to helping South Florida charities for many years.  Subaru of Pembroke Pines is dedicated locally to the Love Promise. This “is a promise to do right by our community by partnering with nonprofit education, health, community, environment, and animal organizations - to set Subaru apart through our deeds and the deeds of our partners. To be unlike any other car company by doing what is right and good, just for the sake of doing it.”[2]

About Simplesa®
Simplesa® was founded in 2013 because it saw a need and had a solution. ALS patients were having success following the Deanna Protocol, but it was too complex and expensive the way it was distributed. Simplesa® formulated products specifically for these ALS patients to simplify their regimen and lower the cost of the products they take. The brand is continuously on the lookout for other similar situations to help patients keep their supplemental and nutritional regimes simple.
