Erdmann Prosthetics and Orthotics Opens Office in Roseville, Monday, February 2

Erdmann Prosthetics and Orthotics Opens Office in Roseville - An Invitation to An Open House this Monday, February 2, 2015 with an Art Gallery featuring the life transforming photographs of Jon Erdmann's work.

Erdmann Prosthetics and Orthotics is hosting an Open House on  Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, from 1-7 p.m., at 151 North Sunrise Blvd, Suite 805, Roseville, CA 95661, to acquaint the public with the work of Jon Erdmann, a Certified Prosthetist, who has brought mobility and independence back to thousands of men, women and children over the past 30 years.

“What sets me apart from anybody else is that I’ve made thousands of artificial limbs,” said Erdmann, CEO and founder of Erdmann Prosthetics and Orthotics.

Erdmann has travelled around the world in pursuit of enhancing his skills and learning from the best in his field. As a result, The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) established in 1863, recruited him to work for them in Ethiopia and Angola (one of three Americans in his field to do so).  The ICRC is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusive humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance.

Erdmann’s office space is also an Art Gallery with striking images taken by professional photographers chronicling his work and the harsh life in Ethiopia and Angola.

Erdmann’s career began in pediatrics at Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis with the dream of one day having his own company where he would deliver to patients of all ages the best designed, fabricated and custom-fit prosthetic and orthotic experience, along with providing the highest level of patient care.

“In school I was encouraged to pick a field of study -- I wanted to stay clear of anything that could be replaced by a computer; I wanted a job that was recession proof.”  What he found was a career that spans over 30-years which blends art, mechanical engineering, hands-on craftsmanship and highest level of patient care.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to create prosthetics with the latest technology,” said Erdmann.

In 2013, Erdmann received the Health Care Hero Award from the Sacramento Business Journal for his work in prosthetics and orthotics. The Business Journal honors professionals in the health care industry that go above and beyond to serve patients. They range from doctors and nurses to administrators and educators. Some are entrepreneurs while others are advocates and volunteers.
