Elgin Rotary Club Supports EPIC Youth Organization's Inaugural College Tour With Donation

Elgin Rotary Club partners with start-up nonprofit, EPIC Youth, and provides a donation enabling youth to participate in college tour

After attending a presentation about EPIC Youth organization given by its founders in 2014, the Elgin Rotary Club decided to support EPIC Youth by donating to EPIC’s first college tour.  The service club, whose purpose has been to bring professionals together to serve the community since 1922, has committed to giving EPIC Youth a $600 donation.

EPIC Youth will use this donation to provide for four students to attend the organization’s first college tour next spring. During the tour, EPIC plans to visit four schools: Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington, IL; Illinois State University in Bloomington, IL; University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and Parkland College in Champaign, IL.

Founded in 2012 by Justin Anthony and Josie Wallace, EPIC Youth is raising the bar for over 150 school aged children by a unique incorporation of faith, leadership development, service to others and travel basketball (See previous article).
