Certified Decontamination Specialist training and certification for hospital and nursing home personnel to prevent or deal with Ebola virus, hospital acquired infections, toxic mold, and bioterrorism threats, announced by the E.H.A.

Training and certification for hospital and nursing home employees as a Certified Decontamination Specialist to prevent or get rid of Ebola virus, hospital-acquired infections, and toxic mold, are now available on-site at medical facilities worldwide, or on-line from ecology-college.com, or in person at the Michigan international training center of the Environmental Hygienists Association (E.H.A.), announces Phillip Fry, E.H.A. 1.7 million hospital-associated infections happen every year in the U.S.A., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (C.D.C.). These hospital-acquired infections cause or contribute to an estimated 99,000 deaths per year, reports the C.D.C.

“The rate of facility-associated infections and deaths is comparable or higher in hospitals and nursing homes in Canada, Central and South America, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand,” reports Mr. Fry.

The E.H.A. trains and certifies hospital, medical center, and nursing home personnel as a Certified Decontamination Specialist for the effective decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization of medical buildings and facilities.

In addition, E.H.A.'s EnviroFry division provides on-site decontamination inspection, testing, removal, remediation, and prevention services anywhere in the world, as well as the sale and installation of  high-tech  air and surface purification  and decontamination equipment and systems, such as high output ozone treatment. The E.H.A. decontamination training curriculum and textbooks are explained in detail at the E.H.A. websites decontaminationgear.com and ecology-college.com.

The lead decontamination training instructor is Phillip Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist, Professional Industrial Hygienist, Certified Decontamination Specialist, Certified Mold Inspector, Certified Mold Remediator (all five designations from the Environmental Hygienists Association), Certified Environmental Inspector, Certified Remediation Specialist (these two designations from the Environmental Assessment Association), Certified Air Duct Cleaning Specialist (from rotobrush.com), Certified Ozone Professional, mold expert, and Professional Member of the American Society of Professionals in Patient Safety.
