Animators to Showcase Short Films at Animation Chico International Animation Festival

Emerging and established animators to showcase independent short films at Animation Chico International Animation Festival.

The 1st annual Animation Chico International Animation Festival will be held on December 12th, 2015 at the El Rey Theatre in Chico, CA.

The festival’s goal is to celebrate and value the many forms of animation including hand drawn, computer, and stop-motion animation.

Our mission is to promote the art of contemporary animation & film by celebrating old and new styles with the latest advances in technology. We encourage young artists & filmmakers to share their work with the world and our community.

Though this is an international festival, our expert jurors were hand selected for being successful artists and animators with a connection to Chico, CA. Their impressive resumes include such films as Avatar, The Hobbit, Night at The Museum, The Adventures of TinTin, and such companies as McDonalds, Toy Machine, Amblin Entertainment, SEGA Activision, and Toyota.
