Emerging and established animators to showcase independent short films at Animation Chico
Chico, CA, July 13, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Animation Chico is pleased to announce that it is now accepting submissions for the 1st Annual Animation Competitions. Animation Chico International Festival is dedicated to furthering the art, craft, and business of animators from around the world. The festival’s goal is to celebrate and value the many forms of animation.
As festival co-director Josh Funk said, Animation Chico “is really about presenting a wide variety of animated films from both established and upcoming artists. The films selected for screening will showcase the latest techniques in animation and innovations in technology, with the most entertaining storytelling around.”

Animation Chico Film Festival will be held at the El Rey Theatre in Chico, CA on December 12th, 2015. It will provide an invaluable platform for filmmakers to showcase their craft among industry peers, aspiring animators and film-lovers. Cash prizes will be awarded for International Animated Short, Stop-Motion Animated Short, and Student Animated Short categories.
