The Association of Independent School Admission Professionals, AISAP (www.aisap.org ) announced today that Ray Diffley will join AISAP beginning July 1, 2016, as the Director of AISAP’s Center for Admission and Enrollment Management Leadership. This appointment demonstrates AISAP’s continued commitment to its mission and vision and further develops the growing portfolio of programs and services reflected in the Center for Admission and Enrollment Management Leadership. Mr. Diffley will have as his primary responsibility the strategic identification of work to support and advance AISAP’s programs and services. He will work with the AISAP team to coordinate and manage the continuing evolution and innovation of all of the Association’s professional development curricula. The Director will work with the Executive Director in the identification of research projects and strategic opportunities on a wide variety of topics in admission and enrollment management leadership and management to ensure that AISAP’s programs and services are always relevant and forward-looking.

Ray Diffley comes with a wealth of experience and an impressive reputation within the industry, having spent his professional career in admissions and serving as the leading advocate for research and examination of character assessment in the independent school admission process.

In addition, AISAP announced that Choate Rosemary Hall, in Wallingford, Connecticut, will serve as the inaugural physical home of the Center for Admission and Enrollment Management Leadership, currently situated as a virtual center on the AISAP website. Given the school’s proximity to AISAP’s main office in Madison, Connecticut, the opportunity to partner and support this critical work is perfectly suited for both Choate and AISAP. Choate will serve as the site of simulcasts of in-person symposia and other programming for senior leadership as well as other team projects. Choate’s head of school, Alex Curtis, a past admission director, has expressed keen interest in the partnership as a way of underscoring the importance of enrollment in the growth, sustainability, and viability of independent school education. Choate has been a leader in advocacy for research, professional development, and strategic thinking on enrollment and institutional advancement, and the new partnership will ensure the ongoing evolution of premier professional learning opportunities.

Mr. Diffley joins AISAP having served as Director of Admission at Choate Rosemary Hall and as a member of the AISAP Board of Directors, among other leadership and noteworthy professional projects. Ray comments, “I am excited to start a new challenge within AISAP and look forward to working with the team to further develop their already extensive programs and services. I am fortunate to be joining a respected association that prides itself on advancing the professionals who lead.”

Janice Crampton, Executive Director of AISAP, states, “Ray’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge has already made him a key addition to the AISAP team. We view his appointment as a sign of our continued commitment to being the leading association and resource in our industry. Our new innovations, including our Certification of Admission and Enrollment Management Professionals, our Consultancy Services, and the increasing demand from our members to continually increase our professional development offerings led us to look for an addition to our team who will fit in with our ethos of innovation and exceptional service, and it is very fortunate that we were able to find someone of Ray’s caliber. I’m confident that Ray will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality programming and focus on future research and solutions for our profession and ultimately for our schools.”
