Poetry In Motion Dance Company To Open Stone Arch Bridge Festival On Cities 97 Stage

Poetry In Motion Dance Company will be the first dance company ever to open the Stone Arch Bridge Festival on the Cities 97 stage, Friday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. They will perform throughout the weekend also on the Star Tribune stage.

The exciting, new Poetry In Motion Dance Company will be the first dance company ever to open the Stone Arch Bridge Festival on the Cities 97 stage, Friday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. Poetry will perform throughout the weekend on Saturday, June 16 at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the Star Tribune stage and then again on Sunday, June 17 at 10:45 on the Cities 97 stage.

"Audiences will love our show," says Stacy Boeddker, President. "Our dancers execute emotionally beautiful and passionate choreography with some of the most forward thinking music. Their story telling skills are some of the best in the country."

Poetry In Motion blends edgy choreography with innovative technical expertise. They work on stage and on film having recently performed in the International Jazz Festival in Poland, the Choreographer's Ball in Los Angeles, and locally at the opening of the Cowles Center. Their choreography and dancers were featured in the recent release of Herschel's Out Of My System at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival.

Poetry In Motion is a dance company and training center located in northeast Minneapolis serving ages 8 through adult. They are a professional auditioned, dance company for advanced dancers aged 13 through adult and an dance training and education center for students age 8 through adult. They offer training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, jazz, musical theater, lyrical, ballroom, yoga, strength and conditioning, and pilates. Students and teachers have starred in film, video, and on stage in performances throughout the world.

The Stone Arch Bridge Festival is an annual music and arts festival held on Father's Day weekend. It is located along the Mississippi river in northeast Minneapolis in Father Hennepin park between the Stone Arch Bridge and Hennepin Avenue.

Their founder Ricky Palomino, a former So You Think You Can Dance top 20 contestant and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet dancer, and Stacy Boeddeker, a former Gloria Estefan dancer, are excited to bring their ground breaking company to the Stone Arch Bridge Festival.
