Plumbing Merchant's Worldwide Success

A north Wales company is continuing to grow despite the economic slump recorded by some firms.

A north Wales plumbing merchant is going from strength-to-strength supplying products locally and across the world.

At a time when many economies are suffering Collister & Glover seem to be bucking the trend.

The Deeside firm has recently supplied essential fittings to contractors working on the A55 trunk road.

Said Managing Director John Collister: "Collister & Glover recently supplied some of their [url: http://www.colglo.co.uk/productlist.php?category=Pipe_Clamps]Pipeclamp Handrail Fittings to GMEC-Services Ltd who required them for an installation on the A55 trunk road.

"Pipeclamp Handrail Fittings are designed to ensure the sturdiest and safest of installations."

The A55 is a major route through north Wales with more than 40,000 vehicles using the road on a daily basis. The dual carriageway has been constructed and upgraded since the 1960s.

In addition Collister and Glover were pleased to be able to assist in the supply of their products on an international scale. The first request came in the form of a telephone call from the American Embassy in Conakry, a port city located in the Atlantic Ocean which serves as the economic, financial and cultural centre of Guinea. The Embassy requested Collister and Glovers help in locating a Grundfos Booster pump; true to their reputation they located one and shipped it out promptly.

A similar scenario occurred when The American Embassy in Tbilisi had a problem with the maintenance of water pressure. They decided that they needed a back-up water supply in case the tap water supply was unavailable. They contacted Collister & Glover who have now supplied over 50 [url: http://www.colglo.co.uk/productlistallinone.php?category=Lowara_Pressure_Switches]Lowara Genyo Pressure Controllers which have been fitted in US Residencies in the capital of Georgia.

John Collister said it was a pleasure to help: "We're gaining a bit of a reputation with the American embassy and we'd like to build on that. I'm assuming they don't do that with just anyone. I'm guessing we passed all the tests which were required of us. They're happy to do business with us and we're certainly happy to do business with them."
