Pittsburgh Eyewear Retailer Eyetique Opens Three New Stores in Everett & Hurite Ophthalmic Association Locations

Eyetique just opened three new optical shops on May 1 located within Everett & Hurite Ophthalmic Association facilities. The company now has 13 stores with a goal of 20 locations by year end.

The growth of Eyetique continues with the recent acquisition, renovation, and opening of three new optical shops located within the McMurray, Cranberry, and Forbes Ave. Pittsburgh Everett & Hurite Ophthalmic Association facilities. All three stores opened their doors May 1 and will serve Everett & Hurite and Eyetique customers as well as new clients and walk-ins. The new stores will offer complete optical services including custom crafted frames and lenses, contacts, sunglasses, accessories, and more with the same exceptional service for which Eyetique has become known.

"We're delighted to be able to serve the customers of Everett & Hurite with a quality of service parallel to their own," said Norman Childs, president and founder of Eyetique. Business hours will be from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday and each location will have certified opticians on staff. Customers will be able to choose from a variety of frames from over 40 international brands including Oliver Peoples, Theo, Ray Ban, Oakley, and Coach, as well as the Eyetique designer brand Norman Childs Eyewear, which is 95% handmade in America.

"This will enhance the total eye care experience for our patients. We wanted to improve the delivery of our vision products and we believe Eyetique can do it better than we can," said Steve McLean, practice administrator for Everett & Hurite. Eyetique custom crafts all of their lenses through their own laboratory in Squirrel Hill using the best lens technology available.

Several opticians from Everett & Hurite will continue employment with Eyetique and a second district manager position has also been added to assist with the company's growth and development. The company now has a total of 13 stores in the Pittsburgh area including the Norman Childs Eyewear and two 3 Guys Optical locations. Eyetique's goal is to have 20 locations by the end of the year.
