Pamela Madore Completes The Broker Responsibility Course
Pamela Madore of the Pink House Team at Keller Williams Realty just completed the Broker Responsibility Course offered by the Texas Real Estate Commission.
Online, October 12, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The Broker Responsibility Course is offered by the Texas Real Estate Commission and is a required course for license renewal for Brokers and Agents that supervise other agents. The class was held at the Amarillo Association of Realtors in Amarillo and was taught by Chip Staniswalis of Chicago Title.
The Course is designed to add greater knowledge and in turn greater protection in helping clients through the increasing complicated Real Estate transaction. Within the next few months there will be many changes take place in the Real Estate industry and this Course is a gateway to the needed information.
Madore says, "There are so many changes coming that include changes to the real estate contract and especially the Dodd-Frank Act that will be put into place in the next few months, I don't know how anyone could not take this Course. We have to be prepared."
The Dodd-Frank Act will be in effect on January 10, 2013 and relates mostly to the mortgage aspect of the Real Estate transaction. Some of the old familiar forms such as the Truth-In-Lending and the Good Faith Estate will no longer be a part of the paperwork in their present form. New paperwork that is more detailed and time sensitive will be instituted. One of the changes that will likely be the most difficult to deal with is that the buyer in any transaction must have the closing disclosure 3 days before the actual closing.
Madore added, "The 3-day rule will undoubtedly cause hardship in many cases. Closings now can be stressful and to make buyers wait an additional three days after all of the paperwork has already been prepared and is sitting on someone's desk instead of moving through the process will cause stress and frustration. We are going to have to be ready to deal with the emotional side of the transaction even more than ever before".
