Novel Inspired by Black Bear Encounter is Released

Heart of the Bear, the second book in the Bearwalker Series, has been released from Mundania Press.

Heart of the Bear, a paranormal romantic suspense, has been released by Mundania Press. The novel, the second in a series by Lori K. Johnson, was inspired by the author's childhood encounter with a wild black bear.

The incident occured in 1967 during a vacation at Wisconsin's Chippewa Flowage when Johnson and other family members became lost in the woods and encountered the bear. No harm came from the incident and it later inspired the books that have become the author's Bearwalker Series.

The series weaves Native American folklore, romance, mystery and natural history in tales about shapeshifting black bears and the human woman who discovers them.

The books are available from Mundania Press, Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com.
