Online, September 16, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Carlsbad, CA - Sept. 15, 2010 - Noted guitarists and recording artists Peter Pupping and Fred Benedetti will perform Sunday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Carlsbad Village Theatre. The concert will feature music from their five-album set, the "Here Comes the Sun" recording series, a 10-year collaboration featuring new arrangements of wildly popular music.
The duo will perform fresh instrumental arrangements of the Beatles, James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel and Van Morrison songs, among others. Pupping and Benedetti are known to make two guitars sound like a choir of guitars!
Background
One Friday night in 1997 Peter and Fred were both mistakenly scheduled to perform individually at the Roxy in Encinitas, CA. Peter was just about to start playing and one of his college mates, Fred Benedetti walked in, guitar in hand. They had both been booked that night accidentally and the owner was happy about the error. He said "my mistake, how about both of your performing together?" That night both musicians, trained as classical guitarists, hit it off performing some favorite pop/rock tunes. That fateful meeting lead to a 10 year recording project.
