Works by Artist Tanya Davis Included in The Tesla Project Art Show

Artist Tanya Davis to Be Featured in The Tesla Project Art Exhibition.

The Art.Science.Gallery presents The Tesla Project group art exhibition dedicated to celebrating the genius of Nikola Tesla. Local artist Tanya Davis will have on display two pieces specially created for this event. The opening will run 2-10 p.m. on Saturday July 5 and will have in addition to themed art: live musicians, applied science demos, a costume contest, shirts screen-printed as you wait, and more! Refreshments and food will be available.

Davis is a multi-medium visual artist based in Austin, Texas specializing in figurines. Her debut on the art scene is marked by her 2013 showcase at DISCOVERY presented by RAWartists. Always exploring new art ideas, Davis has created 2D and 3D works with her signature style.

"Tanya's figurines have a really excellent style, and are nicely executed. I love when industrial factors are added to otherwise natural things." - Sam Hotch, screen printer and artist, Philadelphia, PA.

Each figurine by Tanya Davis is shaped and detailed by hand. She uses acrylic paints and mica powder pigments to add color to her work. The pieces are finished with glaze that protects and enhances the figurine's detail. People sometimes request paintings or high-quality marker drawings based on the figurine characters she has created. Davis welcomes commission work.
