The Woman with the Issue of Blood, like so many other poignant women of the Bible has no given name. She is only identified by her situation. This Woman suffered from a bleeding condition for 12 years. She was plagued with hemorrhaging during a time when women were already considered to be second class citizens. In Biblical times, during the time of a Woman's menstrual cycle, she was considered unclean. Anyone that touched her during that was considered "unclean". Anything she touched during that time was considered "unclean". Imagine that! That was just the norm for the average woman. But this Woman had her "Issue" EVERY day for 12 years! Today that would be 4,380 not including leap years. Can you just imagine how she felt?

It is important to stop the bleed because Jesus did, it is important to stop the bleed because our women are dying inside, its important to stop the bleed because women are the mothers of all living.
