Retirement of MEA Incorporated Founder Ted Lasiewicz
Online, January 8, 2010 (Newswire.com) - MEA Incorporated Elk Grove Village, Illinois, announces the retirement of Ted Lasiewicz, who founded the company in 1963. During the ensuing forty-six years, Mr. Lasiewicz rapidly built MEA into a leading supplier of electronic hydraulic mechanical control systems for oil refineries, chemical manufacturers, electric power generating plants and steel mills. Mr. Lasiewicz was born and raised in Chicago and attended Cornell University where he earned BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering.
During the Second World War, he served in the US Army Corps in the Pacific as a bombardier/navigator. In his long career at MEA, Mr. Lasiewicz gained a reputation for solving customer problems involving critical process control systems with innovative technical designs. As a result of Mr. Lasiewicz's efforts, MEA is known throughout the world as supplier of reliable advanced technologies as well as offering its customers unparalleled field service support. Mr. Lasiewicz will continue his involvement with MEA by serving as a consultant to the company as well as a member of the Board of Directors.
The management of MEA is now under the direction of Jack Mueller who has extensive experience in building and running industry-leading technologically based companies.
