Medical Database, LLC Releases Clinical Laboratory Decision Support System
Indianapolis, Indiana , August 3, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Medical Database, LLC announced today the release of Clinical Laboratory Decision Support System (CLDSS). CLDSS is a disease-based test selection, ranking, and ordering system.
The CLDSS system utilizes proprietary (patent pending) ranking system and enables healthcare providers (physicians, nurses, physician’s assistants, laboratorians) to correctly select the most relevant tests based on diseases, symptoms, ICD-10 codes, and other available data.
The ranking system scores potential tests for any given disease and assigns an easily interpretable numerical/color-coded score based on clinical relevance, medical necessity, and testing indication. The software will decrease healthcare costs by reducing overutilization of unnecessary tests, and by highlighting relevant esoteric and molecular/genetic tests and leading to shorter time to diagnosis and treatment. This is a unique, disease-based laboratory test selection, ordering, and interpretation software that can be interfaced with EMR and HER systems. The database is specifically designed to assist healthcare providers in selecting, ordering, and utilizing the tests most appropriate for each stage in the process of disease diagnosis and management.
“Selecting the most appropriate laboratory test has been proven to reduce costs and improve outcomes to healthcare providers “said Safedin Sajo Beqaj, founder and CEO of Medical Database.
